The flawless skin that you have always desired may look like a myth. A late night leads to ugly dark circles in the morning. Forgetting to wash our face wash may lead to accumulation of oil or acne on face. However, with the right care, you can get the glow that you have always dreamt of.  In our endless pursuit to get a clean and clear skin, we resort to every beauty tip possible.  Getting a flawless skin cannot happen overnight and calls for care on a daily basis. Here are some of the Do’s and Don’ts to get an ever radiant skin:


  • Sun and skin


Do: Apply a sunscreen every time you step outside the house. Sunscreen with SPF 25  is mandatory for Indian weather.  Extensive exposure to sun cause freckles, sun spots, wrinkles and other skin related woes.  Make sure to use a sunscreen that is “noncomedogenic” and does not clog the pores.


Don’t: forget to apply a sunscreen, whether it’s sunny or cloudy outside.  Whether you are heading to a beach or your office, lather your skin with a sunscreen of at least SPF 25.


  • Eat carefully


Do: Keep a note of what your plate looks like. Eat fresh fruits, vegetables and adequate protein and vitamin-rich foods. A diet rich in vitamin C gives radiance and glow to the skin.


Don’t: Eat spicy, preserved, fermented or fried foods.  Instead, choose rice, cereals or pulses.


  • Beauty sleep


Do: Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. If you do not sleep adequately, your skin gets as tired as your body.  Enough sleep prevents dark circles and baggy eyes.


Don’t: Forget to clean and moisturize your face before hitting the bed.  The ones with dry skin may use mild moisturizers that are free from alcohol.


  • The golden rule


Do:  Make sure to always remove makeup on your skin before going to sleep.  A thick layer of makeup prevents the skin from breathing.  It also leads to blemishes, blackheads, and pimples on the skin.  You can use some Olive Oil to naturally remove makeup and dirt from your skin.


Don’t: Forget to exfoliate. It is necessary to exfoliate at least twice every week to remove the layers of dead skin from the face.  You can use a mixture of yogurt and walnut powder to regularly exfoliate your skin.


  • Hydrate yourself


Do:  Remember to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day.  Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Also, consume water-rich fruits like watermelon, cucumber, orange and strawberry to hydrate your body from within.


Don’t: Ignore rose water.  It helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles form eyes. Rose water helps to maintain the pH balance and naturally hydrates your skin.


  • Go back to your roots


Do: Use Natural cleansers and scrubs to take care of your skin.  Natural products are rich in the goodness of nature and help the skin to breathe better.


Don’t:  Neglect the basics. Calm and deep breathing in the morning harmonizes the body, mind, and emotions.
